About Us
Both Ben and Jenn are third generation missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions. Ben grew up as a missionary kid in Perú, while Jennifer grew up in Brazil. They met at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA where they both graduated from the Sacred Music program. After graduation, Ben continued into seminary to earn his Systematic Theology MA and Jenn to receive her Piano Pedagogy MM from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. They have fostered two sets of brothers; they were able to adopt one of those sets of brothers - Russell (4), Cameron (2), and Benaiah (0).
Our Testimony
As children, we recognized that we are sinners. This separated us from God and would lead to our eternal death. We knew that no self-merit could cover our condition. Our parents shared the gospel message that Jesus Christ was sent to be the forgiveness sacrifice for all who would believe. We understood that through repenting of our sin and taking Christ's righteous sacrifice for our own, our relationship with God would be restored. We confidently confess that Jesus is our salvation. When death or Christ's return happens, we will be with our Father.
A few years later, we confessed publicly that we belonged to Christ by uniting to the local church in baptism. Our goal in life is to love God and help others love Him.
Our Call
In 2017, Ben served at Perú Baptist Seminary for a year. It was through this time that God placed a burden for the need of leadership training and church discipleship in Perú. Jenn has had a burden for missions ever since childhood. God has developed her burden and equipped her for ladies' discipleship and piano teaching. After serving and being equipped by God as the Associate of Worship & Discipleship at North Baptist Church in Flint, MI for four years, the church set apart Ben and Jenn to be missionaries to the Peruvian nation. They were appointed by Baptist Mid-Missions in the summer of 2022.
